Description:
The UMass Amherst Computational Biology Lab in the Department of Computer Science is concerned with computational and modeling problems behind many of the major questions in molecular biology and genetics. Our bioinformatics research involves the use of machine learning, modeling, and optimization techniques for DNA and protein sequence analysis.
